The "Embrace" Program

Our “Embrace” Program is a specialized set of services developed to meet the needs of underserved survivors of domestic violence and over come the barriers that prevent them from fully accessing services. Issues such as language, cultural, mental and physical barriers are addressed by this program. The program operates a 24/7 Helpline that is dedicated to Spanish speaking survivors and to our knowledge is the only one of its’ kind in the State of TN. Bi-lingual volunteers are needed to assist with interpretation for survivors and translation of written materials is different languages. Also, volunteers who are aware of other barriers that would limit the ability of an individual to successfully access services in the community are also needed to provide direct services and technical assistance to the program.
